几乎忘了sting了，最近重新开始听，一度让我心驰神往的Feild of gold再听还是能让人如痴如醉。我一直怀疑sting成为歌手以前是一个英文老师，他的很多歌词都用词表现得很与众不同，更有20世纪初英国诗歌的风范。这是首很简单的歌，词的韵律却和音乐和谐无比，描绘的几乎是一个天堂般的画面，不能让人赞叹sting的天才。

更有意思的是搜索歌词的时候发现这个页面：http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=1684   很多人在讨论这首歌到底表达什么样的一个故事，好像有很多不同的理解，所以我也来说说我的版本：

第一段是现在，男的想到这个女的，相信她如果去麦田会想到他的。第二点开始追述以前：两个人在一个有金色麦田的地方相遇，坠入情网，男的求婚，保证两人从此“共此一方麦田”，但是有什么原因两个人最后还是分开了。最后一段，回到现在，男的想象她和她的孩子们来到他们当年相遇的麦田，想起他们曾经在麦田散步的日子。fields of barley和fields of gold应该是都指麦田，用不同的名字是修辞上的需要，否则从头到尾都是fileds of barley了。jealous sky应该是“天妒红颜”的类似用法。
